SATURDAY MORNING ARTISTS Q&A

The Hutchinson Art Center will be trying something new with its Friday Morning Artists group. Starting January 2025, the group will be moved from Friday to Saturday.

Why are we doing this? Over the past few years, numerous people have told us that they would like to participate in the group but cannot do so due to scheduling conflicts with work and/or school. There is also interest from regular group members and Art Center staff to see the group grow. Moving the artist group from Friday to Saturday will allow more people to participate as artists as well as models. We hope that this will be a positive change for all involved!

As with any big change, there have been many questions asked and we have taken the time to answer them below.

Q: When will this change occur?

A: The change from Friday to Saturday will be in January 2025, with the first Saturday session taking place on January 4th, 2025.

Q: Will the group continue to meet at the same time?

A: Yes, the group will meet from 9:00 to 11:30 AM, just as it did before.

Q: Will you continue to post photos of the model online so that I work from home?

A: Yes, photos of the models will continue to be posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages before 11:00 AM the day of the in-person session so that those wanting to join in at home can do so.

Q: Will you continue to post the resulting artwork from these sessions?

A: Yes, we will continue to share our artists’ artwork to our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Q: When will you post artwork from these sessions?

A: We will post the resulting artwork at 4:00 PM on Saturday, the same day as the session. We ask that anyone working from home to send photos of their artwork via email at media@hutchinsonartcenter.net or send us a direct message to our social media pages by 3:30 PM that Saturday.
