During the month of August, we will display a selection of artwork created by young students during this year's Kids Summer Art Camp, lead by local artist and teacher Cinde Smith. Each day they learn about a new artist from history, talk about how and why the artist created art the way they did, and then create a project based on that artist’s work. The students develop their art production skills (drawing, painting, collage and sculpture), learn about the elements of art and the principles of design, and have the opportunity to solve problems and express themselves creatively. It is an exhibition you will not want to miss!
