Introduction to Drawing Workshop: Week Two

  • Hutchinson Art Center 405 N Washington St Hutchinson, KS 67501 USA (map)

Drawing is the basis for all other types of art but is also an art form in itself. Join us to learn or review the basics of using pencil, pen, charcoal and black paint to capture the essence of a subject on paper. When we learn to draw, we learn to see and think better, too. Join us to become a better artist, enrich your life and perhaps even make some new friends.

Classes will be held Tuesdays from October 10 through October 31 from 3:30 to 5:00 PM. An open studio time will be available on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:00 on weeks 2 through 4 for students who want to spend more time on the drawing projects.

This week will be Introduction to the Picture Plane, Sighting and Negative Shape. Project: Still Life 1.
