The Hutchinson Art Center is teaming up with Stage 9 to do a 49 hour “Create in Place” Film Challenge beginning at 11:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17th. At that time, we will reveal the 5 essential elements required in each film entry, and teams may begin creating their films. Sign up to enter the challenge will be FREE with a request of an in-kind donation of $10 to each organization.

The sign up deadline is Friday, April 17th at 9:00 p.m.
Here are the rules:
After signing up, the teams will receive an electronic packet including the necessary forms and detailed outline of the film festival.
Each film must be written, filmed, scored and include all 5 art elements.
All films must have a MAXIMUM run time of 5 minutes.
The use of profanity will result in an automatic disqualification.
The films must be turned in by Sunday at midnight in order to be considered a top three winner/ the audience choice award.
All films will be premiered on the Stage 9 and Hutchinson Art Center Facebook pages at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20th (in no specific order). This will signal to opening to vote for our Audience Choice Award. Voting details will be released during the Facebook premier. Voting for Audience Choice will close at noon on Tuesday, April 21st. On Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., we will announce the Audience Choice Award and the Winners of the 49 hour Create in Place Film Fest Award.
1st Place Winner will win an Art Trophy from the Hutchinson Art Center and a goodie bag.
2nd Second Place Winner will win an Art Trophy plus a goodie bag.
3rd Place Winner will win an Art Trophy.
Audience Choice Winner will win a “Shelter in Place” Survival Kit.
